georgia on my mind

so, last wednesday i set off (alone may i add) to see meg in athens, geogia. that night we went to go see "Kill Bill Vol. 2" in Georgia Theater (where John Mayer's "No Such Thing" music video was filmed). then i went out downtown with meg. over the next few days meg and i chilled in athens, went shopping in atlanta, slept late, ate ice cream, and tried to go swimming. then on sunday morning my dad flew into atlanta so meg and i went to pick him up and then do some touristy stuff in atlanta. then we drove up to clayton, georgia. we checked into a "Howard Johnson" hotel and then set off for the Setoulah Mountain in The Highlands (north carolina). we climbed that baby, then it started raining on the way down, so that was a party. then the next day we set off for our white water rafting outpost on the Chattooga. meg, my dad and i set off on the section 3 part of the white water rafting trip with our guide Josh (who my dad swore was Keanu Reeves). yeah, so i got some battle wounds from rafting/swimming down some pretty harsh rapids (a.k.a. Bulls Loose). then, there was the WONDERFUL 8-hour-long ride home with my dad... yeah.

if you thought i was cool, i'm nothing compared to napoleon dynamite... he is some kind of rockin'! so, last night i went to go see a (get this) FREE showing of napoleon dynamite at the hollywood 9 theater in kenner. now, as if this wasn't the coolest thing that ever happened already, they have me a free t-shirt with napoleon dynamite on it!! i'm pumped. quick rundown of the movie: a few days in the life of a geek who can dance like nobody's business. when i got home from the movie and coffee after, i decided to practice my moves, but alas, i didn't compare to ANYTHING like napoleon... GOSH! why do i suck??

in other news, i've been cooking up a STORM! here's the 411 of what i've been whippin' up lately: stuffed bell peppers, quesidillas, calzones, chocolate zucchini bread, key lime ice cream, pasta with three pepper tomato sauce, and salad with curried chicken. wow, how much do i rock?? A LOT!

well, i think i'm going to finish reading the fourth harry potter book. oh yeah, and i leave for atlanta to visit meg and then go white-water rafting with my dad when he comes up on the 7th (wednesday). i wonder if i'll need disposable underwear, i see that my dad's purchased quite a few lately... i wonder about him.
